Organic Eggs from Hungary Lane
All of our eggs are organic and meet Soil Association standards.
We sell directly from the farm gate through our self-service egg stand, as well as supplying a number of local independent bakeries and shops.
Due to growing demand, we are also a certified and registered egg packing centre. This certification is required to supply eggs to shops, catering outlets, and restaurants (unless eggs are graded at another packing centre). All of our eggs are graded, stamped, and packaged on site before leaving the farm. We’re the second-biggest egg packing centre in Rushcliffe (out of two — and the other one is massive, but who’s counting!).
Our laying hens are free to roam, and for over seven years we’ve operated a mobile chicken hut system. In our experience, nothing compares to the rich flavour of pasture-raised eggs.
The huts are on wheels and easily moved within electric netting, allowing the hens constant access to fresh pasture.
Chickens with new ground to explore and nutrient-rich forage not only produce superior eggs, but also enjoy greater enrichment and wellbeing. The electric fencing provides predator protection, and our small herd of alpacas roam alongside the flock as an extra fox deterrent.
